From a waitress to a music star- Mavin record label artist Di'ja reveals

Sierra Leonean-Nigerian singer Di'ja, who is a member of the Mavin Records label started her journey of life as a waitress and with regards to her hard work and positive attitude, she is also a ‘somebody’ today.

She disclosed during an interview on her Coke Studio Africa session on how she took menial jobs just pursue her dream as a musician.

The singer revealed that she took menial jobs such as being a waitress and a mascot at children’s parties.

She said: “I've tried and failed a lot of things in the past, same with music, I don’t even think am good at it as much yet, I’m still getting there but I’ve failed many times. Find what you are good at, practice every day, fail at it many times until you are good at it.”

Di'Ja who is now a brand ambassador for Telecommunication giant GLO, was signed onto the Marvin Records group on February 14, 2015.
