Quite funny as Identical Twins of same gender grew to be pairs of different gender

The twins grew up in a small rural town south-east of Auckland with four other siblings. Everyone just assumed the boys were the same because of their identical looks
This is the story of twins named Robert and William Haddock who were raised in near south-east of Auckland. As children, the picture above shows them wearing the same outfit and having the same smile
Today, the story is different as one them went ahead to become a woman. The boys have always grown together but at 18, Robert took a drastic decision by changing his name to Mary.

Years later, Ms Mary Haddock is a popular trans-gender in New Zealand who fights for the rights and privileges of other Trans in her country.

Mary and William Haddock, 32, were born and raised as twin brothers in a small rural town south-east of Auckland before Mary, who used to be known as Robert, decided to live as a woman

Mary said she was bullied from a very young age for being different but her brother William would always step in and stand in front of her in a fight

Mary got married two years ago to her partner of 10 years and now says her life 'is pretty great'

She maintains it is important to share her story to make others aware of issues facing the transgender community
