Earlier today, i wrote about Serena and Maria's gbege on the court today. Well the match has been played. After a 6-2, 6-4 rounds and over an hour play, Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova
This makes Serena a wonder-woman to Sharapova who bows to Serena's prowess. The world no 1 has played against Sharapova 17 times professionally and has also defeated her those times.
It can be counted that Serena beat Sharapova on the same court (Center Court) they played today during the 2012 Olympic Games which saw Williams take the Gold medal.

The world number 1 will face Garbine Muguruza as she looks forward to win her third Grand slam of the season
